## Description
To celebrate the start of the new academic year at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and its 15th anniversary, the **three successive deans of the School** come together for a timely conversation about how much the world has changed in the last 15 years and the future of international affairs. 

Over the past 15 years, international affairs have been reshaped by a return to great-power competition, rising geopolitical fragmentation, and the rapid acceleration of technology. Institutions that once anchored global cooperation have struggled to keep pace with **crises** ranging from financial shocks and pandemics to climate-driven disruptions and war. At the same time, new regional groupings, issue-specific coalitions, and non-state actors have become increasingly influential, creating a more complex and multipolar landscape.

**Regional flashpoints** in the Middle East, Ukraine or the Horn of Africa have underscored how quickly local tensions can reverberate globally. Yet this period has also sparked innovation in diplomacy, governance, and cross-border collaboration.

The Deans reflect on how these shifts are transforming the international system and what they mean for the **next generation** of leaders in international affairs.
